The race day includes the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud (a stage of The Arc Races), a painting competition, country picnic and a host of free entertainment for children. It’s the ideal way to kick-start your summer!

Artists, pick up your brushes!
For one day only, the Saint-Cloud racecourse transforms into an open-air artist’s studio!
On Sunday 29 June, artists registered for the painting competition will be able to set up at the racecourse from 9:00am to begin their work.
Inspired by the setting and the spectacle of horse racing, participants must complete their piece by 4:30pm to submit it for judging.
A jury will evaluate the entries and award prizes in three distinct categories:
– Painting category: €1,200 for first place, €900 for second, and €600 for third.
– Sketchers category: €300 for first place, €100 for second, and €50 for third.
– Géant des Beaux-Arts – Young Artists (ages 12 to 18): the winner will receive art supplies worth €250.

NEW FOR 2025: Children and adults alike can explore their artistic side in a drawing workshop focused on horse anatomy.
This activity is open to children aged 12 and over.
Free registration will be available on site for 30-minute sessions held throughout the day.

To discover the world of horses, what could be better than the gentle and patient nature of ponies? Treat your children to a lovely first experience learning about our four-hooved friends, as they stroke them and go for a little ride.

At our “Blacksmith” workshop, young apprentices are invited to let their creative juices flow. The budding artists can customise horseshoes with ribbons, glitter, ink stamps and many other surprises.
The children will sit at a table to decorate their horseshoes and can take their creation home with them.
On every Family Race Day, a giant horse-themed poster will be laid out for the children. Using colouring pencils, the children are invited to help bring this poster to life.
The Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud is reserved for experienced racehorses aged 4 and over. It is run over the classic mile-and-a-half distance, just like the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, the world’s greatest horse race.
For these top-class racehorses, the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud is a warm-up for this major international event, which will be held, as every year, at ParisLongchamp racecourse.
2025 marks the launch of the Arc Races: a selection of the best French races that grant winners a wildcard for the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, the legendary international flat race, whose next edition will take place at ParisLongchamp racecourse on Sunday 5th October 2025.
With eight prestigious events, France Galop is providing a spectacular road to the Arc, with a fast-track ticket to the world’s greatest horse race at stake.
