The race day includes a painting competition, country picnic and a host of free entertainment for children. It’s the ideal way to kick-start your summer!

The Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud is reserved for experienced racehorses aged 4 and over. It is run over the classic mile-and-a-half distance, just like the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, the world’s greatest horse race.
For these top-class racehorses, the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud is a warm-up for this major international event, which will be held on Sunday 6th October 2024 on ParisLongchamp racecourse.
The Au-delà des Pistes charity and France Galop are presenting their Racecourse Ambassador Days, whose aim is to highlight the versatility of former racehorses who have been retrained for a new career.
Five French racecourses, including Saint-Cloud racecourse, have been paired with former champions.
Prince Gibraltar was chosen to be the ambassador for Saint-Cloud racecourse. This winner of two Group 1 races (the highest category of horse race), including the Criterium de Saint-Cloud, will be celebrated on this occasion.
For one day only, Saint-Cloud racecourse is being transformed into an open-air art studio!
A huge painting contest is being organised on the racecourse, with just one brief: to recreate the unique atmosphere of a day at the races!
A great many artists will set up their easel on the racecourse to take part in this famous painting competition. All participants will paint their entry on the race day itself!
Plenty of prizes to be won!
In order to enter, the artists have to submit their piece before 4.30pm.
A jury will vote and the top three paintings will be awarded the following prizes: €1,200 for first prize, €900 for second, €600 for third. A special “Géant des Beaux-Arts” prize will be awarded to one of the painters, along with the equivalent of €250 in painting equipment.
Online registration is now closed. You can register at Saint-Cloud racecourse between 9am and 12pm on Sunday 30th June.

At our “Blacksmith” workshop, young apprentices are invited to let their creative juices flow. The budding artists can customise horseshoes with ribbons, glitter, ink stamps and many other surprises.
The children will sit at a table to decorate their horseshoes and can take their creation home with them.
On every Family Race Day, a giant horse-themed poster will be laid out for the children. Using colouring pencils, the children are invited to help bring this poster to life.
A fun-filled race!
Place your children at the heart of the action by entering them in our sack race! Held on the racecourse itself, this sporting activity promises plenty of laughter and fun. Give it a try, either before or after you watch the horses race along the turf.
