A top-class race programme on ParisLongchamp racecourse

On 14th May 2023, ParisLongchamp racecourse will host the Emirates Poules d’Essai des Poulains & Pouliches, two Group 1 races that unveil the year's best 3-year-old colt and filly over the mile distance. These races are a key stage in the selection process for the new generation of champions. In addition to these races, the day will also feature other major races such as the Prix St Mark’s Basilica Coolmore Prix Saint-Alary and the President of the UAE Cup, the European cup for Arab horses.

The Emirates Poules d’Essai des Poulains & Pouliches are considered a springboard for the prestigious Qatar Prix du Jockey Club and Prix de Diane Longines, which are run over the longer distance of a mile and 2 1/2 furlongs on Chantilly racecourse in June. In recent years, several colts or fillies have managed the Poules d’Essai des Poulains/Qatar Prix du Jockey Club or Poules d’Essai des Pouliches/Prix de Diane double, such as Shamardal, Lope de Vega, Brametot, St Mark’s Basilica, Zarkava, Golden Lilac, Avenir Certain and La Cressonnière.

In addition to the top-class races, spectators can enjoy plenty of Family Race Day entertainment, including special activities for children, such as pony rides, a merry-go-round, bouncy castles and even a “kids’ race” on the course itself. Curious visitors can learn about the world of horse racing with our Easy Racing activity. For food lovers, there is a wide variety of refreshment options, with a burger stand, food trucks and the ParisLongchamp brasserie, which boasts outstanding views of the parade ring.

Do not miss this outstanding day out at ParisLongchamp racecourse, with ticket prices starting at €5 when purchased in advance on the France Galop Live ticketing website, plus free entry for children under 12. The gates open at 12 noon and races are scheduled every 30 minutes. There is also a car park on site.
