France Galop Live is delighted to have been chosen by Gérard Drouot Productions to host a concert by AC/DC, the world’s greatest rock band, on ParisLongchamp racecourse on 13th August 2024. ParisLongchamp racecourse thus confirms its position as a hotspot for Parisian events, as a complement to its horseracing activity.
Australian band AC/DC, a legend among legends, has announced its European “POWER UP” tour. AC/DC will perform 21 concerts in 10 European countries, including one date in France. This tour is named after the band’s latest studio album, which reached No.1 in 21 countries when it was released.
AC/DC performed their very first concert on 31st December 1973 in Chequers Nightclub in Sydney, Australia. They are one of the most influential bands in the history of rock music, with a total of over 200 million albums sold worldwide. With more than 50 million copies sold, their album “Back In Black” is the best-selling group album of all time. AC/DC were honoured in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® in 2003 and in Australia’s Music Victoria Awards Hall of Fame in 2015. The band is still selling out stadiums on several continents, selling millions of albums every year, and generating billions of streams.
To honour their 50-year reign as the world’s greatest rock band, AC/DC – Angus Young on lead guitar, Brian Johnson on lead vocals, Stevie Young on rhythm guitar, Matt Laug on drums, and new bassist Chris Chaney, who replaces Cliff Williams – is back playing live for its fans.
